Veterans’ Benefits for In-Home Care Support
Maintaining an independent lifestyle as we age is preferable; however, it often becomes difficult to do so, especially for veterans. Military veterans can be at a greater risk of experiencing mental health issues, such as PTSD, such as traumatic brain injuries, cognitive impairment, and Alzheimer’s disease, possibly requiring assistance earlier in life than civilians.

We understand the sensitive nature of veteran care and are committed to delivering compassionate, nonmedical personal care services to veterans in the comfort of their homes.
Eligibility for Long-Term Care Benefits from VA
Active-duty military, air or naval service veterans who were not discharged due to dishonorable conditions may be eligible for VA benefits. The benefit covers standard home care services, such as:
- Activities of daily living (such as bathing, dressing, eating)
- Meal prep
- Light housekeeping duties
- Reminders to take medication
- Assisting with local errands
- Companionship and support
- Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- And more
In order to apply, the veteran or surviving spouse must be eligible for a Veterans Affair pension and require the aid and assistance of another person (or be housebound). The veteran must have served at least 90 days, with at least one day during wartime.
