Home Care in Valdars, WI

Valdars, Wisconsin, seniors turn to Visiting Angels for quality home care. Our compassionate caregivers and staff know the importance of independence and dignity while aging. Our services help seniors remain safe and independent at home by assisting with various nonmedical tasks.

At-home care services with Visiting Angels

Everyone ages differently, and no one’s care needs are the same. At Visiting Angels, we want our clients to know how much their safety and comfort matter, so all of our home care services are customizable to meet each client's needs.

  • Companion care is our most requested service. It’s perfect for clients who can primarily care for themselves but want minor assistance around the house with tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry. It’s also great for lonely seniors who want daily companionship.
  • Personal care is for clients who want companionship but also need hands-on assistance. It includes the same services as companion care, including mobility, grooming, showering, dressing, and toileting assistance.
  • Respite care is our temporary care service for family caregivers who need help caring for an aging loved one. Many family members request respite care for their aging loved ones when they go on vacation or feel overwhelmed by other aspects of their lives.
  • Palliative care is for clients diagnosed with a chronic condition. The goal of palliative care is to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort to ease the signs and symptoms of the client’s condition.
  • Ready-Set-Go Home care is our transitional care program to reduce hospital readmissions. Caregivers start this care service at the hospital. They work with the client’s medical team to ensure proper follow-up care, which includes transportation to follow-up appointments.
  • Dementia and Alzheimer’s care is our specialized care for seniors living at home with dementia.
  • End-of-Life care provides physical and emotional comfort to clients and families during the final stages of life. Caregivers may work alongside hospice teams to help clients feel safe and comfortable at home.

Living in Valdars

Valdars, Wisconsin, is a small village in the center of Manitowoc County. This village is known for its clean, safe residential neighborhoods and friendly community. It’s the ideal place for families of all ages looking for a blend of modern life and old-fashioned small-town values.

Valders Community Center

The Valders Community Center, located at 420 North Liberty Street, is the hub of town events and meetings. The center is the go-to for service organizations, such as the Senior’s Club, which meets every second Wednesday of the month. Caregivers enjoy bringing clients to the Senior’s Club, where they can enjoy a complimentary meal and socialize with other residents.

Valders School Library

While Valders doesn’t have a traditional public library, the village’s high school library is open to the public. Caregivers can provide transportation to use the library’s facilities or resources. They can also help clients use the library’s online resources from home, including downloading eBooks and audiobooks.

Valders Swimming Pool

Swimming is a great physical activity for seniors because it encourages cardio without putting stress on the joints and muscles. The Valders swimming pool inside the high school is open to the public for swimming lessons, water aerobics, and open swimming. Our caregivers can help clients sign up for an activity and provide transportation to the pool.

Community Events

The best way for seniors to engage with their community is to attend community events. A few popular events include the Spring Rummage Sale and Brat Fry, Easter Egg Hunt, Community Picnic, and Annual Run/Walk. Caregivers make great companions for the village events and are always happy to remind clients when their favorites are coming up!
