What Experience Do Our Caregivers Have?

You deserve to have an in-home care provider that is experienced and passionate about caring for seniors in their community. At Visiting Angels of Aurora, we do not believe in “on-the-job training.” We seek out caregivers who are already experienced in the fields of senior care, health care, and similar paths of care. Additionally, we seek out aides who have participated in healthcare certification training programs.

Many of our professionals are specialized in a particular realm of care, such as personal care. If our caregiver is unskilled in the realm of personal care, we would assign them to a client where no personal care or hygiene assistance is needed. We want to make sure that all of our clients are taken care of completely.

Our Screening Process

Visiting Angels of Aurora selects only the best caregivers to provide senior care services by using a vigorous vetting process. We require any potential in-home care provider to:

• Meet with us for multiple interviews to get to know their experience, personality, and ensure they are a good fit for our agency.
• Provide a list of references from reliable sources including certification training schools, volunteer organizations, previous clients, agencies, and healthcare institutions.
• Have at least two years of caregiving experience.

Each part of our interview process provides key information that will help us understand if they are capable to care for our beloved clients. All of this happens before a caregiver is assigned to a client.
