Tracy Brady, a certified dementia practitioner and executive director of business development and community relations for Visiting Angels of Fairfield, had the opportunity to present, "How to Socially Engage Memory Impaired Loved Ones" at Church Hill Village. During this presentation, Tracy went over how to keep seniors struggling with memory problems engaged and active in the community through various activities. Fun activities like food demonstrations, activity kits, baking, and building birdhouses can all be a great way to keep your loved one socially engaged and stimulated.
"It’s really just ‘being in touch’ with them... It’s just so imperative that we keep our loved ones engaged,” explains Tracy.

Visiting Angels of Fairfield would like to introduce everyone to our latest addition to the team: Honey! Honey is a robotic Yorkshire terrier who was created to look, act, and feel like a real dog. We adopted Honey to help seniors in our community who are suffering from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. She was a huge hit with the local assisted living facility, The Commons of Newtown, and we hope she continues to give them plenty of smiles and affection!
